About
Our Story McLuckie Builds started from a simple observation: most trades businesses and growing companies are underserved by the IT industry. They're either too small for the big consultancies or too complex for break-fix IT shops. After 15+ years in IT infrastructure — from enterprise data centers to cloud migrations — Greg McLuckie founded McLuckie Builds to fill that gap. The goal was straightforward: bring real expertise to businesses that need it, without the overhead, jargon, or upselling that makes most IT experiences miserable. What We Believe Technology should solve problems, not create them. Every recommendation we make is grounded in what will actually help your business — not what's trendy, not what generates the most billable hours, and definitely not what a vendor is pushing this quarter. We believe in transparency. You'll always know what we're doing, why we're doing it, and what it costs. No surprises, no hidden fees, no scope creep. Our Approach We start by listening. Understanding your business, your team, your pain points, and your goals. Then we recommend a practical path forward — one that fits your budget, your timeline, and your appetite for change. We're not in the business of selling you things you don't need. If a simple fix solves the problem, that's what we'll recommend. If a bigger investment is warranted, we'll explain why and help you plan for it.

Ready to modernize your technology? Let's start with a conversation about what you need.
How we work
You work directly with senior engineers and builders. No account-manager relay, no junior handoff, no black box.
Every recommendation starts with what will help the business run better, not with a tool someone wants to sell you.
Infrastructure is documented, portable, and readable. We optimize for clarity so your team can own the outcome.
Most work ships in weeks, not quarters. We bias toward small, useful releases that compound quickly.
Cloud infrastructure, collaboration systems, websites, and internal tools all live under one roof, so the stack fits together.
If the right answer is a lighter fix, that is what we recommend. The point is solving the problem, not inflating the project.
Path
McLuckie Builds began as a direct, senior-level consulting practice for companies that were too complex for break-fix IT and too small for heavyweight consultancies.
Cloud migrations, Microsoft 365, and Google Workspace became core services after seeing how many clients were leaving value on the table in existing tools.
Marketing sites and custom web applications followed naturally as clients needed systems that connected operations, lead generation, and internal workflows.
TradeOps grew out of the same problem pattern: contractors were trying to run real businesses on generic tools that did not fit the way field work happens.
The current Astro and Cloudflare platform is the next step: faster sites, simpler operations, cleaner content workflows, and a better shared foundation.
